Spokane is a mining Ghost Town from the late 1800-early 1900's
Some buildings still remain such as the caretakers house, the superintendants house, the school and the shops.
There are remains of the mining shacks scattered throughout the trees.
The old mine has been reclaimed and is fenced off.
Susan B. Anthony made several presentations at the school in her day and the blackboard is still intact.
There is a gravestone of a gentleman who was killed in a mining claim at Spokane,
and in the early 1980's his great grandchildren got permission to place a headstone at his gravesite.
History abounds at Spokane, and you could make several trips there and never see everything.
